I had just installed the honeypot per the instructions here:

but then I found your product and decided to go with it instead. But can you explain what the bad behavior folder is and if I need to do anything other with it than just upload it?

Do I need to install the Bad Behavior add-on in addition to Honeypot?

Honeypot can integrate with vB Bad Behavior but you don't need to, but I would recommend you use it...
