Sometimes you have those sections on your forums which maybe handy for your members but serve no purpose for yours sites seo (games, off topic chat/weak content, rss feeds you dont want indexed etc), you can now click to no index forums from the node manager
click a forum you dont wish to have its threads indexed, tick the checkbox to exclude the node and hit save, if you go to that node or a thread in that node and view source you will see the no index metatag is...
