Before adding a further Super Administrator to your forum, please sure that is what you want to do. A Super Administrator has full unrestricted access to your ACP, where a normal Administrator only has access to the sections you allow.
Now, if you're sure you want to add a further Super Administrator:
1. Login to your ACP and navigate to Add New Administrator
2. Input your password, type in the name of the user you wish to promote (you should see the name pop up as you type), Select the Administrator usergroup and select all permissions and save.
3. You will see this user is now listed in the Administrators list, but not as a Super Administrator.
4. For the next step, you need know the User ID of the member you are promoting. To find this, you can simply highlight over the name and the ID number will show at the end of the url.
5. Keeping a note of the User ID, you now need to open your config.php file, which is located in the library directory. Locate the line which reads:-
$config['superAdmins'] = '1';
and add the User ID number at the end as shown below:-
6. Save the file and reupload via your FTP (overwriting the existing file).
7. Now, if you navigate to the Administrator list, this user will show as a Super Administrator.
